As Body

Though my veins might be through
Though my flesh torn away
Though my cracked skin is peeling

Though my feet through their wandering
Though my bones may be breaking
Though my lungs may be failing

Though my heart is through it’s beating
Though my nails may be stolen
Though my voice may be failing

Still my core will keep its burning
Round the centre I’ll keep spinning
New beginnings for the rest
Who of my body, make their nest

As Body depicts the metaphor of the Earth as a body. It goes through different harms such as resource extraction, ivory poaching, and desertification, and explores them in terms of harm to a living being. We hope that with this song, we will broaden the listeners sphere of empathy to include the harm being done to the earth.
