The Buhr Quartet performs the music of 20th-century master composers Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk, garnished with some spoken word texts by Toni Morrison and Duke Ellington himself.
(Toni Morrison is the recipient of both the Nobel Prize and the Pulitzer Prize for Literature; the quartet is setting some texts from her novel JAZZ.)
