                    THE BUHR QUARTET:
                              Glenn Buhr, acoustic guitar
                              Paul Balcain, sax, bass/oud/electronics
                              Al Beardsell, guitar
                              Gilles Fournier, bass

DreamPlay Artistic Director, Glenn Buhr is best known as a composer of music for classical ensembles (orchestras, string quartets, ballet companies, etc.) though for the past 15 years he's also been leading a few bands and performing his own music while exploring a fusion of songs, jazz, and rock music. With this concert, he's moving back to songs without words, but with his own quartet (along with guest Jennifer Thiessen on viola), who will all add their own wily improvisations to these new instrumental compositions.
